This talk is about the existence of isometric and/or quasiisometric embeddings in finite products of trees and/or quasitrees. We'll start by surveying some known results about hyperbolic groups, right-angled Artin groups, and CAT(0) cube complexes. We'll then mention some new non-existence results from ongoing projects with Shaked Bader and Oussama Bensaid, and with James Davies. The former concerns right-angled Artin groups, and the latter concerns CAT(0) square complexes.
