A symbolic representation of Anosov-Katok diffeomorphisms

The "untwisted" Anosov-Katok diffeomorphisms of the torus or the disk are a source of interesting and counterintuitive measure preserving diffeomorphisms. This talk will present work showing just how broad this class is by giving a general symbolic representation of the AK diffeomorphisms that encodes, for example, all odometer based diffeomorphisms.
