Approaches to quantum gravity
At this time, we do not have a theory of quantum gravity. In this talk I will first reiterate the reasons why such a theory is absolutely needed, and then review some of the proposals towards it, with special emphasis on `non-string' approaches. The presentation will be kept mostly at a general and introductory level.
