The New Emission Trading System on Diffuse Emission in the European Policy Mix

Optimal dispatching and merit order pricing with variable load will be explained in a normative perspective (first best and it’s implementation). The joint effect of renewables and carbon pricing as different drivers that may change generation costs and thus optimal dispatching will be added to the analytical model and illustrated by several examples.
