Cohomological Hall algebras associated to curves in surfaces

We will discuss some ongoing project with Diaconescu, Porta, Sala and Vasserot in which we study the convolution algebra of cohomological correspondences acting on moduli spaces of sheaves on surfaces via modifications along 1-dim subschemes. We obtain some relation to affine Yangians.
