Some remarks on multisymplectic geometry (or from Volterra to "higher" structures)

The Hamilton-Volterra equations were derived by the end of the 19th century but their geometrisation took a long time, culminating in the dynamic Hamilton-DeDonder-Weyl equations. We illustrate geometry and dynamics by examples before discussing the question of observablesin this context.
