Retrieving context tree models driven by structured TMS pulse sequences applied in the primary motor cortex (M1)

By Oswaldo Baffa Filho

Appears in collection : 2023 - T1B - WS1 - Structural learning by the brain

A brief introduction will cover experiments with evoked brain responses, followed by an explanation of the principles of transcranial magnetic stimulation. The need for better instrumentation, such as a robotic arm to improve the accuracy and precision of TMS will be shown along with the development of the open source software InVesalius Navigator coupled to a robotic arm. Then, we will explain how multi-locus TMS can revolutionize the area in combination with neuronavigation. Finally, we will propose how to use these experimental tools to produce complex Markovian TMS pulse protocols to assess the brain processing.
