Quantum gravity from non-commutative geometry

By John Barrett

Appears in collection : Applications of NonCommutative Geometry to Gauge Theories, Field Theories, and Quantum Space-Time / Applications de la Géométrie Non Commutative aux Théories de Jauge, à la Théorie des Champs et aux Espaces-Temps Quantiques

The talk will discuss progress in modelling quantum spacetime using finite spectral triples. There will be a brief overview of the general ideas and some recent progress. A non-commutative model of a sphere with non-trivial spinor bundles will be presented.
