Back to the last scientific programme of 2022, "Geometry and statistics in data sciences".

The programme was organised to highlight the relationships between statistics, probability, geometry and topology in data science, and to allow several communities to exchange ideas around these cross-cutting themes. The Institut Henri Poincaré was an ideal setting for organising 3 weeks of conferences, courses, but also specific events, such as the "Mathematics-Industry" day, the Geomstats Hackathon week, as well as outreach talks and interactive workshops for high school students.

Retour sur le dernier programme scientifique de 2022, « Géométrie et statistique en science des données ».

Le trimestre a été organisé pour mettre en lumière les interactions importantes qu’il existe entre statistique, probabilité, géométrie et topologie dans le domaine de la Science des Données, et ainsi permettre à plusieurs communautés de se rencontrer pour pouvoir identifier ces thématiques par natures transverses. L’Institut Henri Poincaré a constitué un cadre idéal pour organiser 3 semaines de conférences, des cours, mais aussi des événements spécifiques, tels que la journée “Mathématiques-Entreprises”, la semaine du Hackathon Geomstats, ainsi que les exposés de vulgarisation scientifiques et ateliers interactifs destinés aux lycéens et lycéennes.
