We present new one-shot protocols for various (entanglement-assisted) quantum communication tasks, using two tools: convex-split' andposition-based decoding'. Convex-split is used for the encoding operations and position-based decoding (which can be viewed as a dual to the convex-split) is used for decoding operations.
