The aim of this mini-course is to provide an introduction to a few topics in functional analysis relevant to Quantum Mechanics. We shall cover the basic theory of unbounded operators on a Hilbert space, and expose the main ideas of the theory of self-adjoint extensions of symmetric operators via well-chosen examples of physical interest.
