Teichmuller geodesic rays exhibit an odd behaviour in that they do not always converge in the Thurston boundary. In contrast, folding rays in Outer space of a free group always converge in its boundary. In this talk, I will present a construction of an ‘unfolding path’ in Outer space that converges to a 1-simplex in the boundary, corresponding to a non-uniquely ergodic and non-uniquely ergometric arational tree.
