Interview at CIRM: Mai Gehrke

Mai Gehrke is a Senior Research Director of the French Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS) affiliated with the Laboratoire J. A. Dieudonné of the Université Côte d'Azur in Nice. Before that she was at the Institut de Recherche en Informatique Fondamentale at Université Paris Cité, held the Chair of Algebra and Logic at Radboud University Nijmegen in the Netherlands, and held a Professorship at New Mexico State University in the USA. Her area of research is at the interface of universal algebra, general topology, and logic with applications in theoretical computer science. Major contributions concern canonical extensions and the connection between Stone duality and profinite methods in automata theory.
