Background on relative Langlands duality - lecture 1

By Yiannis Sakellaridis

Appears in collection : Relative Langlands and Arithmetic - Thematic month week 5 / Langlands relatif et arithmétique - Mois thématique sem.5

The goal of this series of lectures will be to give an overview of the framework of relative Langlands duality introduced in my work with Ben-Zvi and Venkatesh, emphasizing translations that are of interest to number theorists (e.g., between numerical and geometric versions of the conjectures) and structures that are directly relevant, at least as motivation, to the mini-course by Zeyu Wang (such as the conjectural role of certain Clifford algebras).
