Collection Non-local branching processes / Processus de branchement non local
The main topic of the conference is on spatial branching processes. Such stochastic model are particle systems where particles move independently according to a Markov process. When a branching event occurs, a particle is replaced by a random number of new particles. Branching event times, numbers of ospring and the ospring locations may depend on mother position. Such a model has been intensively studied when the underlying dynamics is a diusion process (even and especially a Brownian motion) and the position of the ospring is the same as the mother position. As a new feature for this meeting, we will focus on model with non-local branching: the ospring location is chosen through a Markov kernel. Prototypical examples are growth-fragmentation models or evolution models. This topic opens the opportunity for new interactions between researchers in probability, functional analysis, PDE, mathematical biology… This event will be in line of both the Bath-Beijing-Paris meetings (https:// www.bath.ac.uk/events/branching-structures/) on various branching processes and the (independent) French NOLO project (www6.inrae.fr/anr-nolo).
