Cascade transition in geophysical flows

By Alexandros Alexakis

Also appears in collection : 2026 - T2 - WS2 - Instabilities and transitions in geophysical flows

I will discuss how a cascade can transition from a forward to an inverse cascade in geophysical flows as a parameter is varied. I will review some of the past results and present some of the most resent results in rotating flows and stratified flows.
