New Directions for Quantum Copy-Protection
Quantum copy-protection is a novel cryptographic primitive that uses the no-cloning principle to associate software with quantum states such that given just one copy of the software, replicating the functionality of the software is infeasible. This notion is particularly useful in addressing issues pertaining to software piracy. Understanding the feasibility of quantum copy-protection has been an active research direction in quantum cryptography. In this talk, I will survey the recent results about quantum copy-protection and discuss future directions.
