I present an overview of the range of quantum communications research and technology development undertaken in the Quantum Communications Hub 2014-2024. I'll frame this within the scope of the wider UK National Quantum Technologies Programme (UKNQTP). There is a trajectory towards future entanglement-based quantum networking -- I'll summarise the UK vision on this for the next five years of the UKNQTP.
