I will discuss a few problems related to harmonic analysis on homogeneous spaces, motivated by a recent survey article by Toshiyuki Kobayashi. Eventually, I will focus on some unusual integral transformations that relate relative characters on different homogeneous spaces, and will offer a speculative interpretation based on the idea of quantization.
