Gauge theory and complex geometry / Théorie de jauge et géométrie complexe

Collection Gauge theory and complex geometry / Théorie de jauge et géométrie complexe

The goal of the workshop is to bring together a large community of active mathematicians in order to discuss the newest developments relating three areas of modern mathematics: gauge theory, complex algebraic and analytic geometry, and arithmetic. These mathematical disciplines have been strongly interacting in the domain of vector bundles on complex algebraic and analytic varieties, especially on curves. The workshop will be part of the renowned VBAC (Vector Bundles on Algebraic Curves) series of annual conferences, launched in 1994.

The interaction of gauge theory and complex geometry has led to many deep and beautiful results in mathematics. These ideas are still developing into many directions and are of high current interest. It is the goal of the workshop to bring together people working on different aspects in order to get an overview of the current status and to initiate new collaborations and new lines of research.

Here is a selection of topics we would like to include into the program of the workshop: • Gauge theory and Langlands duality. • Gauge theory and generalized geometry. • Coupled K¨ahler–Yang–Mills equations. • Strominger equations and Calabi-Yau manifolds. • Moduli spaces of (coupled) holomorphic bundles on non-algebraic complex manifolds. • Moduli spaces of real vector bundles. • Further topics related to vector bundles on algebraic curves.
